Veena Vani surgery to cost 10 cr
The much-awaited surgery to separate the conjoined twins, Veena and Vaani, will become a reality if the TRS government agrees to bear the cost of Rs 10 crore for the surgery that would take place in London. A team of London doctors, who examined the conjoined twins recently, said they would separate the twins successfully by persistently monitoring them for 10 months.
Niloufer hospital seeks govt help
Hyderabad: The much-awaited surgery to separate the conjoined twins, Veena and Vaani, will become a reality if the TRS government agrees to bear the cost of Rs 10 crore for the surgery that would take place in London. A team of London doctors, who examined the conjoined twins recently, said they would separate the twins successfully by persistently monitoring them for 10 months.
They informed the hospital that surgery would cost about Rs 10 crore. The doctors’ team sent a communiqué of their willingness to conduct the surgery to Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad. In turn, the hospital has informed the State government for its further approval. It is learnt that the Government was discussing the issue and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would take a final call soon.
