Boat ride proves fatal for techie

Hyderabad: A joy ride on a speed boat turned tragic for an IT trainee, as the boat collided with another boat, resulting in her death in Hussain Sagar Lake on Friday night. The incident happened about 8.45 pm. The victim Bhaktawar Rana, 22, died after receiving head injury due to the impact of boat collusion. She was tossed into the air upon the impact and her head was crushed between the two boats causing severe head injury and instant death. According to eye witnesses, the girl who was a trainee of Wipro got into a speed boat along with a few of her colleagues. However, the speed boat lost control and collided with another one at the alighting point. The Ramgopalpet police registered a case and took up investigation.
