Liquor flows like water at festival
Srirama Navami festival organised on a grand note at Ramalayam in Juntupalli village of Yalal mandal on Saturday. Devotees thronged the temple to offer prayers from Mahabubnagar and Medak districts as well as from neighbouring state of Karnataka. Basic facilities were arranged for devotees under the supervision of the temple Executive Officer (EO) Srinivas. Srinivas said about 30,000 devotees offered prayers at the temple.

Devotees thronged the temple to offer prayers from Mahabubnagar and Medak districts as well as from neighbouring state of Karnataka. Basic facilities were arranged for devotees under the supervision of the temple Executive Officer (EO) Srinivas. Srinivas said about 30,000 devotees offered prayers at the temple. EO also stated that two-day Jatara which began on Saturday would be continued on Sunday also. With large number of devotees visiting the Jatara, toddy and liquor shops were set up by operators illegally on the temple premises. Even, they sold spurious liquor to consumers. After consuming liquor and toddy, some persons caused nuisance to the devotees.
