Nellore: District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr Bharathi said that donation of organs was equal to giving new life to a person. She participated in an organ donation awareness seminar organised by ABVP here on Sunday. Addressing the participants, Dr Bharathi stressed on the need to create awareness on donation of organs at cluster-level and primary health centres.
She gave a call for protecting lives of people by donating organs. The DM&HO also cleared doubts on organ donation which were prevalent among common people. Earlier, a rally was organised here to educate people on the importance of donating organs.
