Police said Shiva was interrogated and checked if he held a valid license. “He will be remanded to judicial custody on Monday,” M Raghavendra Swamy, the investigating officer said.Meanwhile, Bhakthawar’s body has been handed over to her brother by the Tourism Department on Sunday, who came all the way from Dubai after getting the shocking news. The officials are making arrangements to take the body by a flight to their native place at Dhanbad in Jharkhand state.

The young techie who has been staying in Manikonda came to the Lumbini Park to spend the weekend evening with three of her friends on Saturday.She was selected by Wipro in campus interview while she was studying in West Bengal. She came to the city after the completion of her training in Kochi, her brother said, who had raised her after their parents’ untimely death.

'Depressed'engineering student commits suicide

In a shocking incident, a 22-year- -old BTech student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at Jillelaguda, under Meerpet police station in the wee hours of Sunday.According to the police, deceased Akula Anand Sai Reddy, a third year BTech student of Vardhaman College committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his Lalitha Nagar residence.

“We have not found any suicide note as of now and prima facie evidence shows no foul play,” inspector G Biksham Reddy said, adding that police examined the CCTV footage from the house and learnt that the incident occurred on Sunday around 3.20 am.Police suspect that dejection coupled with academic stress could be the possible reason for taking the extreme step.A case has been registered under Section 174 (Suspicious death) of the CrPC.
