The 12-member gang was identified as Md Sultanuddin, 40, of Nizamabad, Marri Radha Krishnamurthy, 45, of Krishnanagar, Tummala Mohan Das, 58, of Sanathnagar, Md Haji Pasha, 40, of Falaknuma, Md Nazeer, 29, of Venkat Reddy Nagar, Md Minhazuddin, 49, of Darulshifa, Golla Seshagiri, 30, of Badangpet, Syed Khaled, 42, of Khairatabad, Victor Cyril Richard, 34, of Trimulgherry, Guntoju Venkata Chary, 37, of Kapra, Pothireddy Sreenivasula Reddy, 27 and Shaik Moulana, 19, both native of Tirupathi, Chittoor district.

Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths apprehended the accused while they were waiting near a hotel in Abids to dispose the stuff to potential customers. “Radha Krishnamurthy and Haji Pasha procured 9,00,000 outdated Brazilian Cruzados from four other persons – Venkat Reddy, Srikanth, Habeeb and Munna- who are absconding. As per their plan, they came to a hotel in Abids area with an intention to sell them to gullible customers,” DCP, Task Force, B Limba Reddy said.
