The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has raised a whopping Rs. 527 crore through property tax collections in 2014-15.


In the recent past the building activities recorded a good growth in GHMC areas March 2014 around 9860 as against 7816 June 2013 and the number of applications received in the month of March 2015 itself.

During the period, prominent buildings permitted in Hyderabad by the GHMC were


- Corporate office Headquarters of Novartis at Gachibowli.

- Seven Star Hotel by ITC at Raidurg, Knowledge City.

- Central Training Institute and Staff quarters by IDBI at Gachibowli.

- Development of campus of National Institute of Animal Biodiversity (NIAB), GOI at Gopanpally.

- Data Centre Building of Bank of Baroda at Gachibowli.

- Data Centre Building of State Bank of India at Gachibowli.

- Corporate Headquarters office building of SBH at Raidurg, Knowledge City.

- Multiplexes at Panjagutta and Madhapur by L&T Ltd.

- Asian Institute of Gastroenterology Hospital at Gachibowli.

- Hotel Building (12 floors) by Jayabheri properties mat Nanakramguda.

- Residential Apartment Building by My Homes at Gopanpally (2000 units).

- Residential Apartment building by Prestige Constructions at Kondapur.
