Tamannaah launches her online jewellery venture.Film actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who acted in Telugu and Tamil films, on Tuesday launched her online jewellery venture – Witengold.com, which she had founded along with her father Santosh Bhatia.
Hyderabad: Film actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who acted in Telugu and Tamil films, on Tuesday launched her online jewellery venture – Witengold.com, which she had founded along with her father Santosh Bhatia. The actress who has a penchant for unique and elegant jewellery has now decided to take this passion to the next level by launching the online venture, which is set to go live on April 20 2015, marking the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The jewellery is priced from Rs 12,000 onwards.
“Jewellery designing caught my fancy at an early age as my father is also into jewellery business. I liked what I designed initially and that encouraged me to venture further”, said Tamannaah Bhatia who is also the Creative Head of witengold.com.Seen at various events lately, wearing jewellery designed by Tamannaah herself, the actor is excited about her new venture. “The beauty of my collection is that it defines today’s woman. The pieces will be stylish and contemporary and will comprise of exquisite designs apt for all occasions”, she added.
Replying to a query, the actress said that she would also wear the jewellery designed by her in her future films. “My next Tamil film will showcase my designs. It means people can actually see me wearing the kind of products I am designing,” she said. Santosh Bhatia, the venture’s CEO and founder, said the portal would ensure the customer finest quality gemstones and diamonds ‘which are ethically sourced’. The designs we offer are beautiful, timeless and above all, affordable. We are very confident that Witengold will have something to offer everyone, he added.
The jewellery e-tailer has an in-house design team with Tamannaah herself at its helm. From world class designing, to manufacturing and marketing setup, the company does all functions in-house thus enabling it to save costs in the entire value chain. “We have established a state of the art manufacturing facility in Mumbai, which exclusively cater to the demand from online customers. All the diamond jewellery of Witengold is certified by the highly-respected grading labs such as EGL,IGI, GIA and GII,” he explained.
