Hyderabad: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police busted an inter-state gang of robbers and arrested five when they were preparing to carry out robberies in the State capital on Wednesday. Md Rizvi alias Kafthan, 49, Shadab Ali, 37, Naushad Ahmed, 34, Md Arif, 40, and Md Rashid, 38, all native of Dhampur, Bijnor district in UP, wanted in cases of robberies were arrested, according to Additional CP (Crime & SIT), Swati Lakra.
Police achieved an important breakthrough by arresting the most wanted criminals who had been committing series of robberies in different states. The police had information that they had reached the city to carry out robberies, she added. During the course of interrogation, cops revealed that the gang members were native of Dhampur village of Bijnor district and have been committing the offences since 1999 and cases registered against them in different police stations in the city.
