The incident took place in Bulandshahr district where the 28 year old man raped the girl two months ago. The parents learning that their daughter was pregnant pleaded with the accused to marry the girl.
The parents are said to be have given advise from a Muslim cleric from the nearby mosque to get the girl married to the same man who had raped her. A resident of Aurangabad area, the girl was one-month pregnant when she got married.
When confronted by social activists, the parents said that their daughter was in love with the man which is the reason they had agreed to the marriage. Meanwhile, no case has been registered in this matter as the police have not received any complaint.
