Sri Divya Happy With Girl-Next-Door Image. Actress Sri Divya, who has mostly featured in simple, girl-next-door roles in her career in southern cinema so far, says she doesn\'t mind the tag as it suits her personality.

Chennai: Actress Sri Divya, who has mostly featured in simple, girl-next-door roles in her career in southern cinema so far, says she doesn't mind the tag as it suits her personality.

"I feel my innocent personality is most suitable for girl-next-door roles. This is why I'm mostly offered these soft roles. But I'm happy with the tag I've earned," Sri Divya told IANS.

Having made her cinematic debut in Telugu industry in 2010 film "Manasara", Divya went on to be a hit heroine in Tamil filmdom in the last few years.

"People think I've avoided the Telugu industry since I became successful in Tamil. But that's not true. The only reason is that Tamil cinema gave me better roles," she said.

Some of her best Tamil films include "Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam", "Vellaikaara Durai" and "Kaaki Sattai".

"My latest Telugu film 'Vaaradhi' has released. It's another girl-next-door role, but here I perform subtly. These are some minor differences I look forward to in the roles that I'm offered," she added.

In Tamil too, Divya says she hasn't accepted every role that has come her way.

"Recently, I turned down an offer opposite a big star because a song expected me to be very glamorous. I wasn't comfortable doing it," she said.

With a busy year ahead, Divya has Tamil films such as "Pencil", "Eetti", the remake of "Bangalore Days" and a yet-untitled project with actor Karthi.
