13 sorcerers taken into custody
The South Zone police took into custody 20 illegal financers, 13 sorcerers, two rowdy-sheeters and two bootleggers during cordon and search operation in parts of Old City on Saturday. According to police, they also seized 1,210 illicitly distilled liquor sachets from two different persons during the operation. Cases were booked against two bootleggers V Sathish and Babu under section 7 (A) & 8 (e) of AP Prohibtion Act.

Meanwhile, Anand Srivathsa, 52, resident of Gowlipura was caught for indulging in preparation of duplicate thinner by diluting processed kerosene at his residence under Chatrinaka police station limits. Mubarak Sigar, 24, previously involved in cases of murder, attempt to murder, arms act and cellphone snatching was also arrested by the police during the search operation.
