Five red sanders smugglers nabbed.The Badvel police on Sunday arrested five red sanders smugglers in Uppavaripalle village near the Telugu Ganga canal and seized 15 red sanders logs worth Rs 8 lakh from them.

Kadapa: The Badvel police on Sunday arrested five red sanders smugglers in Uppavaripalle village near the Telugu Ganga canal and seized 15 red sanders logs worth Rs 8 lakh from them.Mydukur Deputy Superintendent of Police M V Ramakrishnaiah told the media in Badvel police station that the smugglers were caught while moving suspiciously near the Telugu Ganga canal, following information secured by Badvel CI K Venkatappa.
The DSP said Badvel Rural SI and staff arrested the accused. Among those arrested was Kuppala Sriramulu of Lakkevaripalle village, the main follower of the alleged international smuggler Ramanath Reddy. He said the five smugglers were habitual offenders.
