Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today charged that the Modi government was not a common man government but only for those in suits and boots.
Charging that the MOdi government was totally pro-corporate houses, the Congress leader said that the government had totally failed in providing an affordable MSP to the farmer. A country can flourish only when the farmers are happy, he said amid cheers from the congress benches as it was the first major extempore speech of Rahul Gandhi in parliament so far.
Slamming the Government for failure on agricultural fronts Rahul Gandhi said at Parliament today that the GDP of agriculture during UPA which was 4.2 percent had nose dived by over 50% to 2.6 percent. "This government has failed the farmers and also the common man violating all the promises and assurances it made during the elections," he said.
