Cheating case against Shruti withdrawn.After initiating legal proceedings against actress Shruti Haasan for not abiding by with her contractual agreement to be the female lead in a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, starring Nagarjuna and Karthi, Picture House Media Limited, owned by PVP, has withdrawn its case.

After initiating legal proceedings against actress Shruti Haasan for not abiding by with her contractual agreement to be the female lead in a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, starring Nagarjuna and Karthi, Picture House Media Limited, owned by PVP, has withdrawn its case.
This comes in the wake of Tamil Producer’s Council and South Indian Film Artistes association intervention in the issue.“As a responsible member of the film fraternity, Picture House Media Limited heeded to the advice of these industry bodies and decided to withdraw its case against Shruti Haasan.
With a belief in the adage that everyone in the film industry is part of the same family, Picture House Media decided to withdraw the case despite suffering monetary losses,” read a statement. Nonetheless, the Producer’s council and Artistes Association have reiterated their stand that artistes should adhere to the agreements that they enter into.
