Kodandaram meets KCR

Once the second in command of the Telangana movement, next to TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana JAC Convener Kodandaram was also the one who managed to bring around all other political forces support for Telangana.

Kodandaram, however, had suddenly fell out of the ruling clique since the TRS was voted to power but he had earned a special place in the hearts of Telangana people for his very active role in the separate state agitation. Kodandaram did not accept any political favours from TRS after coming to power and went back to being a professor. Though KCR had sidelined him, he had supported the TS government in spite of some not so good decisions and Kodandaram went relatively soft on the Telangana government.

But he always made some indirect comments which embarrassed KCR and the government. In the wake of this friction, Kodandaram met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday apparently to invite him for his son’s marriage. Later both held a conversation in private for an hour regarding contemporary politics.

Many see this meeting as a bridging of the gap between Kodandaram and the government. But everyone knows that KCR is not the one who forgives and is considered to be vindictive to the core. So one has to wait to see what happens next in the Telangana state.
