Kushaiguda, AS Rao Nagar and Dammaiguda are a few of the neighbouring localities. Other localities in the proximity are Tyagaraja Nagar, Brindavan Colony, Ambedkar Nagar, Balaji Nagar. The Kapra Lake is close by. RTC buses are available to all the parts of the city.It is 13 km away from the Secunderabad Railway Station and 50 km from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

V Haribabu, assistant general manager, Saket Engineers Pvt. Ltd, said, “The township project began in the late 1990s with a modest beginning. It has now turned into a mega township. There are design homes, Saket Mithila Villas, Saket Pranam, which is exclusively for the elderly. The highlight of the township is the Saket Sriyam apartments, which have nearly 25 flats.

A club house, a swimming pool, stand-by pow¬er generator and solar powered fencing, electronic surveillance, etc, are present.”The name Saket in Sanskrit means heaven. It is also an alternative name for the ancient city of Ayodhya, an important Hindu religious place, the capital of Kosala and the birthplace of Lord Ram.

Problems

Residents said that the main road from the Radhika Theatre Junction to Dammaiguda needed to be re-carpeted to ensure free from traffic hazards to the commuters on this busy road. The drainage system needs to be repaired to prevent them from overflowing. A large number of dogs and pigs leave the citizens at the risk of diseases.
