TRS MLAs on foreign jaunt as Progressive farmers As per reports, the delegation heading for Israel\'s capital Tel Aviv to attend Agritech 2015 exposition includes four MLAs but none of them are active farmers. Opposition Congress and BJP have slammed the state government and termed it unconstitutional and misuse of power.
It could perhaps be the first bureaucratic scam in Telangana state where its CM K Chandrasekhar Rao says he will deal with corruption with an iron hand and also wants people to call his office directly if they want to report against any corrupt deed.

In yet another example of misuse of power and tax payers' money, a group of MLAs from Telangana are heading for a junket to Israel and are tagged as 'progressive farmers'.
As per reports, the delegation heading for Israel's capital Tel Aviv to attend Agritech 2015 exposition includes four MLAs but none of them are active farmers. Opposition Congress and BJP have slammed the state government and termed it unconstitutional and misuse of power. BJP leader G Kishan Reddy termed it as abuse of power and unconstitutional to send MLAs as progressive farmers.
However, the Telangana agriculture department defended its decision, stating that all 4 MLAs qualify as progressive farmers and had pioneer in the campaign organic farming, drip irrigation and against use of pesticides.
