Telangana MLAs termed as progressive farmers for their visit to Israel The Telangana government however, ironically sent four MLAs to the 19th International Agriculture Exhibition - Agritech-2015 in Tel Aviv, Israel and called them as \'progressive farmers\' as the MLAs claim to be from a farming background.
Telangana state witnessed extensive crop damage due to unseasonal rains and the farmers are yet to reel from severe damage to standing crops. The Telangana government however, ironically sent four MLAs to the 19th International Agriculture Exhibition - Agritech-2015 in Tel Aviv, Israel and called them as 'progressive farmers' as the MLAs claim to be from a farming background.

Apart from the MLAs who were termed as Progressive Farmers – Eenagu Ravinder Reddy, Kalvakuntla Vidya Sagar Rao, Gangula Kamalakar and Dasari Manohar Reddy, government officials have also gone for the event that is being organized from April 27 to 30.
The State Government was slammed by the opposition for mocking the plight of the farmers. The farmers are yet to receive compensation for the damaged crops as the state government is still assessing the damage caused by the unseasonal rains.
