Police decide on 2nd post mortem
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Malkajgiri, M Ravichandran Reddy on Tuesday ordered for the second post-mortem examination on Ritu Sarin, 29, a former air hostess who was “murdered” by her husband, Sachin Uppal late on Sunday night.The ACP ordered the examination to be done by a team of senior doctors at Gandhi Hospital, under police supervision in response to the application filed by family members of the victim.

Ritu’s relatives said that Sachin used to threaten her and her family saying that he would kill them all. He constantly asked for their property to be invested in his business. “Just two months after the wedding, he forced her to quit Jet Airways where she worked for three years in Kolkata. She could not even serve the notice period and had to leave citing medical emergency. The family said that they gave Rs 15 lakh and gold jewellery during marriage.

“Sachin would question her about her past and insult her in different ways. He had also sought to conduct DNA test to prove the paternity of the five-month-old son,” Subhash Sareen, father of Ritu said. Meanwhile, police also took Rajesh into custody , Sachin’s friend who was present at the time of the incident and questioned him.
