Adilabad: Housing, Law and Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy laid foundation stones for several developmental works, including a road from road over bridge to Pushkar ghat, in Mancherial town on Tuesday. Later, he inspected ongoing works of bathing ghats on the banks of Godavari river.

Addressing a meeting, Indrakaran Reddy said that the TRS government was making all arrangements to organise ‘Godavari Pushkaralu’ in a grand manner in the newly formed Telangana State. He pointed out that only 27 bathing ghats were set up in Telangana region for devotees in the previous ‘Godavari Pushkaral.The Minister said that the government was now setting up 100 bathing ghats in five districts for the ensuing Pushkaralu.
He said that the government would conduct ‘Godavari Pushkaralu’ on the lines of Kumbh Mela. He added that 8 crore devotees may take holy bath in Godavari river in the ensuing Pushkaralu. Mancherial MLA N Diwakar Rao, Municipal Chairperson M Vasundhara, Vice-Chairman N Shankar, RDO Ayesha Masrat Khanum, other officials and TRS leaders were present.
