2K Run for restoration of Lakaram lake

The District Collector Dr K Ilambarthi in a statement released here on Friday said that to restore the lost glory to the lakes a programme is organised called \'2K Run for Lakaram lake\' on April 26 at 6 a.m. here in Khammam district. He said that as part of the programmey \'Shramadanam\' would be taken up to restore works to the Lakaram lake.

He said that as part of the programmey 'Shramadanam' would be taken up to restore works to the Lakaram lake.
R&B Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao is going to attend as a chief guest for this programme. He also said that Lakaram lake is the biggest lake among all which had been chosen under the prestigious project Mission Kakatiya for restoring of the lakes in Telangana.
The government had allotted Rs eight crore for restoring the Lakaram lake. This lake is located in the middle of the Khammam city.’’ We are going to develop it like Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad.”
