KCR re elected as TRS president
Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao was unanimously re-elected the president of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Polling officer and party senior leader N Narasimha Reddy announced the unanimous selection of KCR at the party\'s Plenary session that began on Friday at LB Stadium amidst loud cheers from rank and file of the party.

Hyderabad: Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao was unanimously re-elected the president of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Polling officer and party senior leader N Narasimha Reddy announced the unanimous selection of KCR at the party's Plenary session that began on Friday at LB Stadium amidst loud cheers from rank and file of the party.
Flower petals were showered on the stage as well as on delegates seated in front of it after the announcement, while ministers, MPs, legislators and other leaders of the party queued up to congratulate Rao. The party activists from ten districts of the State burst firecrackers even before Naini declared the result.
Addressing the party cadre later, Chandrasekhar Rao, who is also the Chief Minister, explained about various developmental activities being taken up by the Government. He said he had hoped that the party would relieve him of this responsibility now that statehood dream had been realized. But since the party wanted him to shoulder the responsibility for another term, so he would strive hard to transform Telangana into Bangaru Telangana.
