Artistes are ambassadors of majority. Superstar Kamal Haasan says he makes films for everyone and that every ticket counts to him.

Superstar Kamal Haasan says he makes films for everyone and that every ticket counts to him. “In a country where Hindus form the majority, why would I make a film which will upset their sentiments? Every ticket and applause matters to me,” said the actor. He was speaking at a promotional event of May 1 release ‘Uttama Villain’ in Hyderabad on Monday.

He added, “People with objections to a film form a very tiny number and such sections should be hold out an olive branch.”Kamal also said that artistes form a minority and that they have to be treated with care, responsibility and respect. “Artistes reflect the views and persona of majority. We are ambassadors for you; treat us well, so that your profile looks good.”

Haasan said that his inputs go into the dubbed version too. “Lots of my inputs go to the Telugu version. If it’s not up to the mark, I will do it again. Nobody does that. At the end of the day it is business for us but not at any cost.” In fact, unhappy with his Telugu dubbing, Kamal dubbed for ‘Uttama Villain’ a second time too. He continued, “My next will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. I’ve started working on the Telugu dialogues too.”
