Chasing 193 runs for a win, the visitors lost the chase in the very third over when Bhuvneshwar Kumar sent back the dangerous Brendon McCullum for 12 with the score reading 22-1 after 3 overs. Although, runs did come briskly they were short on consistency and lost wickets at regular wickets. Eoin Morgan’s cameo knock was worth an unbeaten 32 while Dwayne Bravo was the most successful bowler for Chennai with his 3/25 haul.
