Hyderabad: Ashwin Kumar Chaudhary, 35, MD of Sigma Taxis, who was allegedly kidnapped by some unidentified persons on Monday morning, was traced by the police on the same evening near Tolichowki.Based on cell tower signal, Langar House police found Ashwin in a semi-conscious state.According to the police, Ashwin and A Sudamma were business partners of the said taxi company. Sudamma invested Rs 12 lakh followed by Rs 40 lakh in the company and became the director.

“On Monday morning, Sudamma came to Ashwin’s place and asked him to return the invested amount. The demand took Ashwin by surprise and he requested Sudamma to give him some time to arrange the money, but Ashwin’s repeated pleas did not yield any result. “Sudamma left the place and threatened to kidnap Ashwin,” inspector Javed said.

According to Ashwin, a group of four, who later identified as Naveen Kumar, Ravinder, Murali Krishna and Kranthi Kumar took him forcibly into an Innova car from Rethibowli area, near pillar No. 45. The abductors were being hired by Sudamma, the police said, based on their confession. “But later, the kidnappers appeared to have changed their minds and dropped Ashwin near Tolichowki area,” the inspector said, adding that Ashwin was still under shock and was unable to give clear details.
