Padyanatakam

Padyanatakam, Narthanasala staged by Sri Sitarama Natyamandali-Kakinada was the highlight on the fifth day of the event. Though the plot was very familiar, directer Kalluri Rama Rao gave this Padyanatakam a fresh look. Kalluri Rama Rama Rao in the role of Dharma Raju, UVVS Achari in the role of Bhima, A Dakshina Murthy in the role of Arjuna and SK Ameer in the role of Keechaka were successful in confining the audiences till the end of the show.

Denikosam

Kids from St Annes Telugu medium school-Tiruvuru have staged a children’s social playlet, Denikosam squarely questions bloodshed through bomb blasts like Gokul Chat, Dilsuknagar and Mumbai. In this play-let, the director Vinjamuri Ravindra tried to send a message to terrorists that innocent people are paying price and questioned why they should lose their lives.

Gabbar Singh

Everyone wishes their children to become an IAS/IPS officers or doctors, but a grandmother wanted her grandson to become Gabbar Singh after watching film Sholay for about 50 times. Social play-let staged by Dakshinathya Art Academy tried to enthrall the audiences with this funny concept. The director Dr Kotla Hanumantha Rao tried his best to make the audience happy. And eventually, it did payoff.
