The city is living up to its name Blazewada with people confining indoors to escape sunstroke. Even the busiest places- MG Road, Kaleswarao Market and the Besant Road wore a deserted look during the day, particularly from 11 am to 4 pm.

The summer heat coupled with loo has made people abandon roads. Even the summer’s most sought after sizzlers- cool drinks, water melons and sodas had no takers, leaving the vendors in distress.

During these days, people who dared to go outdoors were spotted wearing masks and everything possible to avoid direct exposure to sun. Denizens are further worried with the weathermen’s warning of the hottest days ahead due to winds approaching from Rajasthan and Gujarat.
