Task Force (West) police on Friday arrested a person involved in house-breaking cases and recovered 1.3 kg of gold ornaments from his possession. Police also recovered a motorcycle, a face mask and five cell phones from his possession. The receivers of the stolen items Md Abdul Imran Khan, 27, and Mirza Jaleel Baig, 27, both of Falaknuma and Askar Bin Ali, 26, of Old Malakpet were also arrested.

1.3 kg gold recovered; 11 cases already filed against accused

Hyderabad: Task Force (West) police on Friday arrested a person involved in house-breaking cases and recovered 1.3 kg of gold ornaments from his possession. Police also recovered a motorcycle, a face mask and five cell phones from his possession. The receivers of the stolen items Md Abdul Imran Khan, 27, and Mirza Jaleel Baig, 27, both of Falaknuma and Askar Bin Ali, 26, of Old Malakpet were also arrested.


According to police, the accused identified as Mir Kazam Ali Khan alias Kaju, a resident of Shaikpet Road in Tolichowki area, was wanted in 11 cases of house breaking which were registered against him under various police stations. Acting on a tip-off, the accused was nabbed by Task Force sleuths in a joint operation with the Crime staff of Amberpet police station.


“Kazam is a habitual offender and targets posh localities , posing as an electrician or a mechanic,” DCP (TF) B Limba Reddy said. The DCP said the accused was arrested on several occasions in the past and was sent to jail and after his release he started committing similar offences. “Four cases have been registered in Amberpet, three in Kanchanbagh, two in Saroornagar and two cases in LB Nagar police station limits against him,” Reddy said.
