If there\'s one thing that we Indians can\'t live without, it\'s food. Perhaps that\'s what keeps us going as we can\'t afford to skip our breakfast. It is often said that one must eat within an hour waking up to keep the metabolism rate up. We are blessed to be in a country where the breakfast options are varied. From poha and paranthas to Dosa and idlies, here are a few sample dishes.

From poha and paranthas to Dosa and idlies, here are a few sample dishes.
Idly sambar: Not just south Indians, most foodies across India call this a comfort food. The very thought of relishing a ghee idly dipped in spicy sambar makes your mouth water.
Masala Dosa: Forget Mysore Masala dose, there are many variants now like Davanagere Benne Masale, Pudi Masale, Onion Masala dosa and many more. But the traditional butter masala dosa is a foodie's delight. Filling and soul satisfying too.
Misal Pav: If you are craving for a chatpata chat like food in the morning try Misal Pav. A Maharashtrian specialty, the taste will sure leave you asking for more.
Poha: If Plain poha (beaten rice) is boring, try adding veggies like Onion, capsicum and grated carrot. It sure tastes great. Don't forget to add ghee in the end.
Paranthas:A trip to North India won't be complete without tasting the popular aloo parantha. Mooli, peas, cheese paranthas too are available, but nothing like Parantha stuffed with aloo (mashed potatoes) with raita and achar (pickle). Makes you want to grab one now isn't it?
Puttu:A Kerala special, Malayalees have made this a household name in every state. This steamed cake is not just healthy but filling too when had with coconut chutney.
Dhoklas: A Gujarati special made from Besan, these yellow moist cakes taste yumm. Bet you will gobble up as many as you can.
India is a country which offers diverse tastes with respect to food. So the list is certainly endless. For now, try these.
