Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Saturday accorded approval for construction of 20 flyover junctions at an estimated cost of Rs 4,051 crore, which included the cost of civil structure and land acquisition.


The new flyovers will come up at KBR Park entrance junction, Maharaja Agrasen junction (Road No 12), Cancer Hospital junction (Road No 10), Film Nagar (Road No 45), Jubilee Hills Check Post (Option II), LB Nagar junction, Bairamalaguda junction, Kamineni Hospital junction on Inner Ring Road, Chintalakunta check post junction, Rasoolpura, Uppal, Owaisi Hospital, Biodiversity Park junction, Ayyappa Society junction, Rajiv Gandhi statue junction, Bahadurpura, Abids GPO to Chaderghat and Malakpet, Cyber Towers junctions – Elevated Rotary cum Grade Separator and Mind Space. The State Government has also constituted a Project Monitoring Unit for finalising the request for quotation (RFQ), request for proposal and CA documents, to conduct the bidding process, evaluate the bids and project monitoring.


The PMU will seek expert assistance from experienced consultants, whenever required. The four-member PMU will be headed by GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar as its Chairman. The land acquisition will be expedited immediately for the SRDP projects.


Tenders will be called under annuity mode in view of the huge investments estimated under DBMT(Design Build Maintain Transfer) annuity mode of procurement for the Phase-1. The PPP modes of procurement guidelines mandate the contracting authority to tender evaluation committee to finalize the RFQ and CA documents.
