As many as four cases at different police stations across Andhra Pradesh were registered against Telangana Government and its Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for allagedly defaming the Chandrababu's image in the name of audio tapes.

According to reports, complaints were filled in various police stations including Pamarru in Krishna, Ibrahimpatnam, Bapatla in Guntur district and III-Town police station in Vishakha against the Telangana Government.

The tapes purportedly containing the conversation between Chandrababu Naidu and nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson went viral on Sunday night in which a voice that sounds like Naidu says, “Our people have briefed me. You can freely decide, would honour the commitment made by our people.”

Lawyer NVV Prasad filed a complaint in III-Town police station alleging that KCR tried to tarnish the image of the TDP chief. TDP leaders from Bapatla of Guntur lodged complaints saying that the tapes are fake.
