Red sanders smugglers outsmart cops
Smugglers of red sanders are outsmarting the police in their effort to send the precious logs out of the country. They are devising new methods in achieving their goal, as the police and the Forest departments have become familiar with the strategies being adopted by the smugglers for several years.
Kadapa: Smugglers of red sanders are outsmarting the police in their effort to send the precious logs out of the country. They are devising new methods in achieving their goal, as the police and the Forest departments have become familiar with the strategies being adopted by the smugglers for several years.
The new methods include sending the logs to China after cutting them into small pieces and packing in polythene packets in the guise of copper wire, which is bound around the logs. This packing process is taking place in a warehouse in Bengaluru.
The packets are being despatched undetected to China through DHL Couriers. Such methods have been detected by the police who went to Bengaluru, after the information was provided to them recently by an arrested Chinese red sanders smuggler.
