As the deadline for submission of applications ended on Sunday, there was a mad rush for submitting applications. According to officials, the AP Excise department had received as many as 65,154 applications for 3,125 shops. Gutunr stood in the top with 11,545 applications against 6,178 applications in 2013 as the new capital is coming up here.
The revenue generated by the applications was around Rs 33 crore. For Pedavutapalli liquor shop, as many as 162 applications were submitted.
