Lagadapati lauds TS govt. Former MP and a strong opponent of Telangana State, Lagadapati Rajagopal lauded the Telangana government for making elaborate arrangements for Godavari Pushkaralu in the newly formed State.
Karimnagar: Former MP and a strong opponent of Telangana State, Lagadapati Rajagopal lauded the Telangana government for making elaborate arrangements for Godavari Pushkaralu in the newly formed State. Rajagopal, along with his family members, visited Kaleshwaram temple and took a holy dip in Godavari River on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he wished the people of Telugu speaking states to lead a better life in the coming days. He remembered taking the holy dip in the river at Kovvuru along with former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy during Godavari Pushkaralu – 2003. Ministers T Harish Rao and Etela Rajender were busy inspecting the arrangements at Dhamapuri.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao ensured that Godavari water will flow in the all canals in the State as they will complete all irrigation projects by the next Pushkaralu. A Minister was engaged for each district to look after the Pushkaralu arrangements. Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary took holy dip at Kaleshwaram while Andol MLA and film star Babu Mohan took the holy bath at Dharmapuri.
