Now it is the Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, who says, 'Drishyam' is a must watch’. He watched the film on Monday and posted his recommendation on his Twitter handle.

Even before the release of the film, it was the BJP President Amit Shah who had posted on Twitter with a photograph: "Met actor @ajaydevgn today.... my best wishes for his upcoming movie Drishyam." Looks like the political leaders found a new way to reach to the star struck janta. What more-the tweets help in film publicity.

And hence it is a win-win situation. Meanwhile, the Hindi remake of the Mohan Lal starrer in Malayalam, 'Drishyam' produced by Viacom 18 and Kumar Mangat, released on Friday. And the film maker Nishikant Kamat has managed an opening weekend collection of Rs 30.03 crore.

The film in a way re-establishes the supremacy of the content. "Very satisfied with the response that Drishyam is getting, one of the rare films that gets you collections as well as respect as an actor," Ajay had tweeted.
