Cong terms suicides as govt murders. AP Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy reiterated that his party will not compromise on the people\'s demand for special status for AP.
Guntur: AP Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy reiterated that his party will not compromise on the people's demand for special status for AP. The fight will continue, despite TDP compromising with the Modi-led NDA government on the issue and termed various deaths in the State as sarkari murders.

Special status is a people's right and a commitment given by BJP itself. This will not be allowed to be watered down by the ruling parties at the Centre and in the State, Raghuveera said while talking to reporters at the Government General Hospital here on Sunday.
Reddy visited S Durga Prasad who attempted suicide for special status recently but now said to be out of danger. He handed over a cheque of Rs 25,000 to him for better treatment.
He termed these unfortunate incidents in various parts of the State as sarkari murders. He also found fault with the Ministers who visited a hospital post the death of baby boy who was bitten by rats, but didn’t mind visiting Durga Prasad who attempted to take his life for a cause.
Instead of addressing the problem in-depth they simply made a few nurses scapegoats for a malady which the hospital administration and the higher-ups were responsible, he added.
