Roja raps Ganta over Srimanthudu audio launch presence

Several issues including removal of YSR photo removing from the Assembly lobby and Rishiteswari's suicide rocked Andhra Pradesh Assembly with the ruling TDP and the main opposition YSRCP indulging in a war of words forcing the Speaker to adjourn the house several times.

Expressing serious concern over the ragging incident that drove an engineering student to suicide, YSRCP leader Roja lashed out at Education minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. She alleged that Ganta had neglected Rishiteswari's suicide and attended the Srimanthudu audio function.

"Ganta Srinivas Rao called for a press meet four days after her suicide and left for Hyderabad to attend the Srimanthudu audio function. If he had put the same focus on eradicating ragging in the colleges, several students would have been alive," she said. She asked the Government to explain how they will provide security to all the women in the state when they failed to give proper protection to the girls in universities.

After TDP came to power, two intermediate students have committed suicide in Narayana college. Reacting sharply, Ganta replied that he attended the audio function of Srimanthudu as it is a socially responsible movie. He also pointed out that several YSRCP leaders were also present in the audio function that day. The TDP leader further said that she is also participating in the entertainment shows like Jabardasth.
