Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S2 at Rs 39,400. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S2, the world’s slimmest tablet, in India for a price of Rs 39, 400. The Galaxy Tab S2 is a 4G tablet with a 9.7-inch QXGA (2048×1536) Super AMOLED display.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S2, the world’s slimmest tablet, in India for a price of Rs 39, 400. The Galaxy Tab S2 is a 4G tablet with a 9.7-inch QXGA (2048×1536) Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy Tab S2 has a metal frame and is just 5.6mm thick and weighs only 392gm.
Galaxy Tab S2’s screen has an Adaptive Display which adjusts the display quality based on the environment and ambient lighting. Samsung’s new tablet comes with built-in touch-enabled Fingerprint Scanner as well.
Galaxy Tab S2 comes with an Exynos Octa-core processor (Quad 1.9GHz + Quad 1.3GHz), 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory ( expandable via microSD up to 128GB). It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
On the camera front, the Galaxy Tab S2 has a 8MP AF rear camera with f1.9 aperture and a 2.1MP front camera. The battery is 5,870mAh and connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO (2.4GHz/5GHz), Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1.
Sensors in the Galaxy Tab S2 are Accelerometer, Finger Scanner, Gyroscope, Compass, Hall Sensor, RGB Sensor and it has GPS, GLONASS. Tab S2 supports both TDD and FDD LTE. Other features that Samsung has added in the Tab S2 are: Side Sync which lets customers control a smartphone or a laptop via the tablet itself.
All features of a smartphone can be accessed easily on the tablet, even if the smartphone is kept away, says Samsung. The Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in three colours, Gold, Black and White. During the launch period, Tab S2 consumers will get 2GB of 4G data per month free, for two months on Airtel’s Network.
