The encounter of two CPI Maoist activists - Sruthi and Vidyasagar Reddy in the forests of Rangapuram village in Warangal on September 15 led to stir in the state. Opposition parties along with human rights activists raised doubts over the entire encounter calling it a theory framed by the police.


IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao speaking at a press conference in Warangal said that the TS government is committed to Naxalite agenda issues and also to implement the socio-economic development schemes.

Stating that the Naxalites' agenda is the government's agenda, KTR insisted that Telangana should witness no sounds of gunfire and spilling of blood - either of the police or the Naxalites.
