Welcoming the festivals to come in style. Fashion Fiesta, a three-day designer exhibition, got under way at Sri Sesha Sai Kalyana Vedika in the city Sunday. The expo showcased ethnic and contemporary wear for women and young girls.

A rich collection of pure georgette sarees, Uppada, Bathik prints, Kalamkari, supernet, long evening gowns, Anarkalis, foot length traditional wear, imported interiors, linen, furnishings, artificial flowers, kundan frames, designer blouses and a wide range of dress material in attractive colours were displayed.

A total of 45 stalls were set up at the expo. Imported stuff from Singapore and Bangkok proved to be a major attraction. The entry for the expo which will be on till October 6. Fashion Fiesta’s organiser Fouzia Tharannum said, ``The designer exhibition showcased the best collection of ethnic and contemporary wear for the upcoming festivals.''
