The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, is due to visit Malaysia this year for the ASEAN – India and East Asia Summits from 21st to 23rd November 2015, the largest event of the year hosted by Malaysia welcoming 18 Heads of State and several foreign Dignitaries.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Dato Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak has also requested The Prime Minister of India to stay for an additional day for official bilateral talks. Consequently, this will be an important occasion for both countries where India- Malaysia relations will be at the centre-stage. India’s Annual GDP is growing at a great pace of 7.5%.

Its FDI Capital alone has increased by 135% since 2014. India has emerged as the number one FDI destination in the world during the first half of 2015. With FDI capital inflows of US$30.8 billion last year, the Malaysian corporate and business communities are looking to cash in on this huge opportunity for the mutual benefit of both countries.
