Online test for post-graduate medical and dental courses
COMEDK is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” to determine the merit of students through a fair, transparent and reliable testing procedure for admission to member institutions of Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association.
New Delhi: COMEDK is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” to determine the merit of students through a fair, transparent and reliable testing procedure for admission to member institutions of Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association.
COMEDK will be conducting Post Graduate Entrance Test 2016 (PGET – 2016) on 17/01/2016 for about 600 “Institutional seats”. This is for admission to post graduate programs during the academic year 2016-17.
12 Medical and 20 Dental Colleges who are members of the association admit students for post-graduate programs through PGET-2016. COMEDK has engaged the services of ERA Foundation to conduct PGET-2016. ERA Foundation is a not-for-profit company registered under Section-25 of the Companies Act.
It is established with the objective of setting up a common platform for assessment of students for admission to Private/Deemed Universities and Institutions providing higher education in India.
This exam will be an ONLINE COMPUTER BASED TEST. It will be conducted at more than 60 cities across India on Sunday the 17th January 2016. (Please note that in earlier years examination was conducted only in Karnataka). Now, a computer based all India test, will offer benefits to students in saving time and money in travel and accommodation.
This will be a single session exam of THREE hours – with 180 multiple choice questions (MCQ) each carrying ONE mark. There will be a separate test for each of the Medical & Dental streams held simultaneously.
