Namitha PramodIlaiyaraaja and Rajendra Prasad too will associate with the romedy

Though is more than a month away to take his first film, ‘Kathalo Rajakumari’, with Nara Rohith on to sets, director Mahesh Suparaneni is getting his cast and crew in place. In this regard, the latest we hear is that he has roped in top Malayalam actress Namitha Pramod, who is making her Telugu debut with Aadi-starrer ‘Chuttalabbai’, to play the film’s leading lady. Says a source, “Yes, she is on board. She will join the sets in the second week of January.  It’s a performance-oriented role and she has allocated 35 days for the part, which has an angelic side to it.”

The source adds that acclaimed names like Ilaiyaraaja and Rajendra Prasad too will associate with the feature. “Mahesh got them on board with his story. He will be travelling to Chennai next week to participate in the song-recording sessions with the maestro. Rajendra Prasad too was blown away by his character sketch before giving his consent. He will play Rohith’s uncle.”

When contacted, Mahesh confirmed the roping in of aforementioned ‘big names’. He seemed extremely happy about the prospect of collaborating with Ilaiyaraaja. “For a relatively new face like me, it’s a dream come true to work and learn from Raaja sir. I’ve met him in Hyderabad recently and pitched the script. He was extremely happy to find the factor ‘feel’ in my feel-good love story. He was in splits one hour into the narration,” shared Mahesh. To flag-off on January 6, the film will be produced by ‘Karthikeya’ producer BV Srinivas.
