The company has grown exponentially in the past one year and has already scaled up its operations since its public launch in January 2015 and currently has more than 10,000 listings and over Rs 500 crores in listed GMV. To keep up with its rapid growth and future expansion, Droom will be recruiting talent across departments including technology, marketing, product management, category management and customer support.
The company will also beef up its special vertical called ‘Droom Assist’ where experts help customers in making their buying decisions as per the desired requirements such as budget, technical specifications etc , thus making vehicle hunting a personalized experience for users.
Speaking on the announcement, Sandeep Aggarwal, Founder & CEO, Droom, commented, “Droom has seen remarkable growth owing to its disruptive tech-driven platform and value-for-money business proposition. We are now looking to expand our talent pool at Droom by bringing in fresh crop of passionate individuals at the threshold of their professional journeys. Apart from the fresh talent, we are also looking at hiring middle and senior levels across departments.
” Further adding about the culture at Droom, he said, “At Droom, we highly value passion, energy and sense of ownership and look for people who possess these values. Since we follow Silicon Valley culture to the core this makes us a very informal, autonomous, non-hierarchical and transparent organization with zero tolerance towards work politics. “
The company, which has 120 employees as of now, is recruiting from top institutes like Delhi School of Economics, Delhi College of Engineering, IIM-Shillong, IIM-Udaipur and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade among others. With a long-term goal to establish itself as an industry leader globally, Droom has already speeded-up its expansion across India with presence in nearly 70 cities and is now eyeing its expansion to South East Asia market by early 2016.
