Object functions as a verb, and a noun, and has many meanings. One of the meanings of object is to express disapproval to someone or something, expressing reluctance. Its variants are objects, objecting and objector.

Objection is a noun. Objection means to express opposition to someone or something, disapprove, the act of objecting; and adverse reason or statement. Objectionable is an adjective meaning that which is open to objection, unpleasant, offensive (He dressed up in objectionable attire for the wedding); objectionableness (noun) and objectionably (adverb).

There is a possibility to get confused with objective, objectives and objectivity. Objective functions as an adjective and noun. As an adjective, it refers to something external to the mind, real, factual, existing, uncoloured facts as a result of feelings or emotions; in grammar a word in a sentence constructed as proportionate to the object of a transitive verb or preposition. As a noun, it means something aimed, something sought, and an objective in grammar. The variants of objective are objectively (adverb), objectivity (noun), and objectivize (verb).

Austin The objectives of journalism are to give news and information to the audience, and it is the responsibility of the news organization to maintain objectivity (to give unbiased and uncoloured news).

Objectivity is a noun. Objectivity means the state of being unbiased, just, not influenced by prejudices; reality; something that is described as it is without misreporting or misrepresenting; something that is perceived to be true to comprehend or understand; objectivity also means the object of understanding. Objectivity also indicates to something that one understands intellectually as result being felt, thereof.

Objectivity is to maintain neutrality. Journalist should maintain objectivity by reporting on events in a fair, accurate, unbiased manner and without being influenced by region, religion, caste, money. If a newspaper fails to maintain objectivity in its reportage there is a greater possibility to lose the confidence of the readers. Failure to maintain objectivity will result in migration of the reader, or just stop watching a television channel or buying the newspaper.
