How are you enjoying the success of ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki’?

I bagged the role in ‘Thapki…’ by the grace of god and I feel people loved my character in the show. I’m really happy and blessed to have so much love through the show.

What homework did you do to essay the character of a hot-tempered guy?

I did so many things, for starters I literally stopped smiling because Dhruv as a character is a very tough nut to crack and he would not smile at all. He is an angry young man, which is very contrary to what I am in real life. My producers said they will put a fine on me if I smile because I always keep smiling.

Fans are waiting to see Dhruv and Thapki to get back soon, when is this going to happen?

I get messages on social networking sites and I honestly don’t know when it will happen. It all depends on writers of the show, but yes, I’m happy that fans want us to be back together. Hope it happens soon.

What appealed you the most to accept the role?

Dhruv is a very divergent character. I loved the concept and it’s about a girl, who stammers. I know many people who stammer. This show can be motivational for them and at the same time people can see how she leads her life and her aspirations in the media.

When did the acting bug bite you?

Well, I would say it is my childhood passion since my father is an actor. So, acting flows in my blood. I have taken training from the same theatre he had been trained in.

How did you bag the role in ‘Samman Ek Adhikaar’?

When I was executing an act in a Delhi theatre, the show producer saw me and wanted me to act in the show. That was very small role. It was my first show and at the same time, being a negative role, it had many expectations. That’s how my journey in the television emanated.

Share your first stint in front of the camera?

I will be very honest. It is one of the worst experiences of my life; I was very nervous. Firstly, it was because I was in front of the camera, and secondly, it was because of the character I was playing.
