After essaying the role of a glamorous NRI in ‘Shankarabharanam’, Diksha Panth will be seen as a village belle in superstar Nagarjuna-starrer ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’. Understandably the actress is elated to have sported desi outfits – Langa Voni—for the role of Nag’s sister-in-law in the romantic drama.

“My wardrobe, look, body language and dialogue modulation, etc., will be in stark contrast to what I did in my earlier roles. This is the first time I was wearing a Langa Voni on-screen. We usually don't get to wear such clothes in our daily lives so I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of wearing it in the film,” she explains.

Talking about the role she says, “It will be like a welcome change for me. I was playing all glamorous roles thus far but portraying a village girl was a different experience altogether. The quirky scenes between me and Nag sir have come out well.”

Diksha is bowled over by Nagarjuna. “Working with Nag sir has been an enriching experience. He’s always chilled out on the sets and his approach to the craft is something to learn. He plays a dual role (father and a son) but he doesn’t look like a father at all. He looks young and charming, no wonder he’s called Manmadhudu,” she signs off.
