In what could be a clincher for Jharkhand, they will be going all out for an outright win against Hyderabad on Tuesday to ensure that they gain enough points to swell their tally, from the third they are currently placed in the Ranji Trophy Group ‘C’ standings.

Hyderabad has nothing to either gain or lose when they host the last league match at RGICS. Jharkhand has logged in 24 points from seven games and trail Saurashtra (29) and Kerala (25). A top two finish will secure their place in the Super League.

They are in top gear as they are fresh from a resounding innings win over Himachal Pradesh, a form that they will hope to continue against Hyderabad, which is a rung above the bottom of the rankings.

This optimism was expressed by Jharkhand left-arm spinner and captain Shabaz Nadeem who contended “after winning the last match we are nurturing a quarterfinal berth hope. This is possible if we give a shot at procuring the full seven points.

Moreover, it will also depend on how Kerala and Himachal Pradesh fare in their next respective outings.” “The wicket looks flat and hard, more batting-friendly. But we will put pressure with our bowling and fielding strengths” the Delhi Daredevils bowler said.

On its part Hyderabad will be hoping to ensure at least credible draw in order to finish the season without any loss with a first innings lead against Tripura being their best performance.

Skipper GH Vihari is expecting the batsmen to deliver like they did against Tripura in the previous match. On the frequent changes in the playing eleven, he said “the boys are all talented. We are looking for the right combination for the future.”
