Vijayawada: MP Kesineni Srinivas is aiming at making the city more livable by improving basic infrastructure like drinking water, underground drainage and better roads.
The MP had roped in the prestigious Budapest Water Works (BWW) to help the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) improve its water supply system. The BWW had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve supply of quality drinking water for the city. The Hungarian government had also agreed to extend financial support to the VMC to improve the water systems, thanks to the initiative of the MP.
“It is not just drinking water we are aiming at. Improving roads in the city to free the traffic is also high on our agenda. The proposed flyover at Kanakadurga Temple will clear the long-pending traffic woes in the city,” the MP asserted.
